Hello! I'm Darryl Coy, a children's book author and owner of Jazz Beach Publishing, a small company dedicated to promoting positivity and fostering a growth mindset in children. I believe in the power of positivity and the importance of cultivating a growth mindset from a young age. My journey into the power of positivity and the importance of emotional intelligence began during my MBA program. There, I explored the transformative concept of Appreciative Inquiry and the significance of maintaining a Positive Mental Attitude, all under the guidance of inspiring mentors.

In my Entrepreneur class, I was deeply influenced by the emphasis placed on cultivating a positive outlook to navigate life's challenges. This foundational mental concept became a guiding light in my personal and professional endeavors. Additionally, my studies in Organizational Behavior introduced me to the groundbreaking work of my professor Dr. David Cooperrider and his book "Appreciative Inquiry." This approach, centered on acknowledging and building upon areas of success, resonated deeply with me.

As a parent, I've always prioritized quality time with my family, especially during our interactive dinner conversations. These moments became opportunities to celebrate our children's successes and explore the factors contributing to their achievements. Through positive questioning and appreciation of their strengths, we instilled in them a mindset focused on growth and improvement.

I'm passionate about crafting children's stories that inspire young minds and instill values of resilience, optimism, and the joy of learning. Drawing from my experiences as a parent and my background in fostering positive thinking, I aim to create engaging narratives that empower children to embrace challenges with confidence and curiosity.

When I'm not writing, you can find me enjoying my outdoor adventures in Punta Gorda Isles, Florida. My wife and I are retired now but cherish the moments when our adult children visit us, allowing us to soak in the breathtaking inshore vistas and vibrant wildlife together. It brings me immense joy to see them thrive, and I'm dedicated to sharing that same sense of possibility and optimism through my books.
